Exec chef Matthew Zagorski, who came on board at Rouge (205 S. 18th St.) close to eight years ago under then-chef Michael Yeamans, has decided to leave the Rittenhouse hotspot this June, confirms Rob Wasserman. "He wants to try something new," says the co-owner, who adds that Zagorski will remain involved with their newly opened 500° burger joint at 15th and Sansom. A successor has not yet been named, but Wasserman stresses that Rouge's culinary approach will not change dramatically. "The person who comes in is going to have to understand what Rouge is," he says.
