Check Novit Bistro chef Hassan Zanzoul's new menu after the jump. The six-month-old Medi/Moroccan BYO (1608 South St., 215-545-4665, novitabistro.com) has streamlined its approach a bit to play up the focus on traditional Moroccan dishes like housemade merguez sausage and a tagine with braised chicken, olives, potatoes and preserved lemon.

[...] Novita Bistro on South Street has a new menu, focusing more on Moroccan dishes than their previous Mediterranean menu. [Meal Ticket] [...]
They added merguez and kept the original tagine. how is that playing up the focus on Moroccan dishes? I've eaten there once and won't go back - not because anything was awful (my pasta with clams was bland - that was the worst , and the cornish hen was way under salted. the calamari was very good) but because i'd rather eat better things. They STILL need to find themselves. Adding sausage isn't going to cut it.
