NOW OPEN: Dmitri's in Northern Liberties
What better day than March 17 to open a ... Mediterranean restaurant? That's when Dmitri Chimes unveiled the third Philly restaurant bearing his name, at 944 N. Second Street (215-592-4550) in NoLibs. (And there's been a daily wait for tables since that St. Paddy's debut, say staffers.) The sunny space (formerly Elixir) fits around 45 people, including bar seats surrounding the open kitchen; like the original Dmitri's in Queen Village, this one's BYOB and does not accept credit cards or reservations (Chimes' bigger, boozier location is on Fitler Square). The menu is the same know-it-love-it stuff Dmitri's has been doing for years mostly grilled seafood (get the octopus, of course, and the soft-shells when they're in season), plus trusty sides like hummus, baba ghanoush, olives and feta, etc.
