Next Saturday, Oct. 3, Charlie and Heather Collazo's The Institute (549 N. 12th St.) is hosting the pumpkin beer fest to end all pumpkin beer fests. They'll have 10 whoa-it's-fall brews on tap ...

  • Autumn Maple by The Bruery
  • Wolaver's Organic Pumpkin
  • Lakefront Pumpkin Lager
  • Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin
  • Southern Tier Pumking
  • Dogfish Head Punkin
  • Brooklyn Post Road
  • New Holland Ichabod Pumpkin
  • Elysian Nightowl
  • Dock Street The Great Pumpkin

... and they'll offer a $12 pumpkin beer flight, as well. They'll also be doling out score cards to determine which pumpkin beer is king polish off four or more, and you'll get a free pumpkin pie baked by Charlie himself.

What's more the kitchen will be cranking out a special pumpkin menu, including some items that'll appear on The Institute's fall menu. Food highlights after the jump.

Pumpkin Custard French Toast: Traditional flan custard flavored with pumpkin and spices, optional spiced walnuts and bourbon-maple syrup sauce

Spicey Pumpkin Plantain Soup: A rich blend of calabaza and regular pumpkin, plantains, coconut milk, and spices served with grilled bread

Stuffed Frenched Chop: Tender frenched pork chop stuffed with sweet potato and chipotle hash browns, creamy spiced pumpkin sauce and served with rosemary-garlic-cranberry fingerling taters

Pumpkin Pasta: Roasted eggplant, green and yellow squash, sweet plantains, served over pasta with spicy pumpkin-curry sauce
