There's still a bit of time left to take advantage of the 20th anniversary deals at Chris' Jazz Cafe (1421 Sansom St.), which hit the big 2-0 milestone last month (see Shaun Brady's feature). Chef/co-owner Mark DiNinno (above right, with his partner Glenn Gerber) is offering a three-course $20 tasting Monday though Thursday for the remainder of October. The lineup changes regularly, but DiNinno has been doing dishes like bourbon-glazed sesame frog's legs, crabcakes with Cajun rice and shrimp/chicken/andouille jambalaya. To drink, $20 bottles of specially selected 20th anniversary wines, plus $10 NOLA-style cocktails (Sazeracs, Hurricanes, etc.).
