Marlo Fioravanti says she and fianc Jason Dilks will open their second SliCE location (the original's at 1180 S. 10th) this coming Monday, Aug. 31 crazy-quick turnaround, as the couple only started work on the space in the first week of this month. Located in the former Philly Falafel/Bish Bish Caf, the new restaurant (1740 Sansom St., 215-557-9299) will offer a menu nearly identical to the South Philly original; they'll do delivery as far north as the Fairmount area (they don't have specific boundaries) and will offer sit-down room for about 20. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

I'm so excited to have a SliCE in my area! The pizza here is fantastic and I wish the owners much success.

@ poncho -- Fantastic?

Slice is in my neighborhood. I've been there a few times and I believe they have good intentions. The sauce on a cracker style isn't my favorite.

I still believe I have to travel to Santucci's or Charlies. There hasn't been ANY legit pizza in CC for a long time.

SRO is opening a Pizza spot! Wonder if they'll give it the epcot treatment w gondolas and a leaning tower etc?
