Rob Sato | Drawing for Food
- The very cool Kris and Hawk of Drawing for Food have launched an ongoing "Artist's Series" on their blog. First featured artist is Rob Sato, who puts together food-related work like the whimsical "Satobites" above. - Eater discusses a controversial McDonald's ad, aired in France, that features a gay teenage boy. McD's COO is backpedaling faster than the spinning turrets on a McFlurry mixer, but we're mostly curious about the music. Is this a fast food commercial or a deleted scene from The Virgin Suicides? - The Rowhouse is back blogging, sharing two recipes for cheesecake shooters. Mmm. - Over on Liquid Diet, Jack Curtin directs us to a cool profile of Jack McAuliffe, a far-from-household name whom many consider a forefather of the American craft beer industry. - All Top Chef, our favorite Top Chef-related blog, teases tonight's debut of the new season with some episode previews. Check back here every Thursday for really, really stupid recaps of the show. - The quasi-vacationing Foobooz would like to know what you thought of Philly Beer Week. We think we're gonna be drinking a bunch of whiskey for awhile here.
