Sonata BYOB opening this Tuesday

Chef/owner Mark Tropea tells Meal Ticket his Liberties Walk BYO Sonata (Liberties Walk, 1030 N. American St., 215-238-1240) will open to the public this coming Tuesday, July 21. We had the basics for you back in June; check out some menu previews after the jump.

UPDATE: We've posted the full summer menu after the jump.

Opening hours: Tue.-Thu., Sun., 5-10:30 p.m.; Fri.-Sat., 5-11 p.m.

Starters/entrees:

  • House-made duck prosciutto with cantaloupe and frisee salad
  • olive oil-poached salmon with walnut pesto
  • gazpacho with cucumber sorbet
  • braised short rib with celery root puree
  • Mediterranean chickpea patties with feta cheese, yogurt and confit tomatoes

Desserts:

  • Passion fruit panna cotta
  • Polenta cake with sweet corn salsa
  • Vanilla bean cheesecake topped with pineapple jalapeno chutney
  • Black forest cake/chocolate profiterole/chocolate beignet trio

Wohoo another good restaurant in the area, it's about time. Definitely gonna try the braised short rib with celery root puree. Thanks for the heads up, need to call for my reservation this Friday.
