The café at Moore College of Art and Design gets eco-friendlier

A student/faculty/staff green mission group at Moore College of Art and Design (1916 Race St.) left its earth-conscious mark on the school's dining room last week. In conjunction with the café's catering service, SAGE Dining, the group has replaced the café's disposable paper products with reusable and recyclable wares made from tempered glass and plastic. To accommodate to-go diners, a limited stock of paper goods is still available.

The Environmental Task Force, which aims to bring eco-awareness and sustainable solutions to the campus, has also initiated campus-wide student art supply trading, recycling programs, the use of more energy-efficient light bulbs and windows and proper art supply/material disposal training for students and faculty.
