The only time you'll need to make a reservation at Chick-fil-A

We all know the Chick-fil-A chain has a dedicated following — folks line up by the hundreds to get down at new locations, despite the brand's irksome for stoners closed-on-the-Sabbath policy and occasional subliminal Obamajabs. And it seems they're anticipating a similar outpouring of interest in their soon-to-drop spicy chicken biscuit, so much so that they've set up a website — getspicychicken.com, hee — where customers can register for a free taste of the new sandwich in the first week of 2011. It looks as though there are plenty of rezzies remaining at local Chick-fil-A locations, including the ones in The Gallery, Liberty Place and down on Columbus. In other words, screw your New Year's Eve planning and focus on this.

Don't get me wrong, this is one of the top fast food joints in the country and I've been known to down two of their chicken biscuits in the morning, but people should beware of this new sandwich.

The regular spicy chicken sandwich was widely available down South for the past few months. On a trip to DC I stopped on the ride down and tried one of them thinking it'd be buffalo wing style.

A blast of steamy, red pepper mace hit me as soon as I unfolded the foil wrapper. Should have been my first hint to stay away. While it was tasty going in, the pain I felt afterward wasn't worth the effort.

Ring of Fire doesn't even begin to explain it.
