Update on Lucky Old Souls

Lucky Old Souls (1713 McKean St.), the Newbold bar/restaurant/music venue Matthew Feldman first announced in the summer of 2009 (it's named after his G-Town Radio show), has proven to be a circuitous process. But Feldman's project is showing glimmers of progress — on Wednesday, August 4 at 12:30 p.m., the PLCB has scheduled a hearing regarding LOS' liquor license application. Feldman's been waiting for this hearing for close to a year and encourages citizens — especially those who live in and around the Newbold neighborhood — to attend and show their support. The hearing will take place at Eighth and Market; if you're interested in attending, RSVP with your full name to luckyoldsouls@yahoo.com.

just sorry that jazz is implicated with the PLCB disregarding their own ruling.. to approve this club on the same block as a church.. and neighbors who couldnt afford to hire a lawyer to assert their rights... is it money that wins?
