Watch the Top Chef: Las Vegas premiere tonight at 10 Arts with the infinitely good-looking Eric Ripert

Filed Under: Food TV | Top Chef | Top Chef Masters

10 Arts (The Ritz-Carlton, 10 S. Broad St.) whose chef Jennifer Carroll is a contestant on the sixth season of Top Chef (premiering tonight at 9!), will host weekly viewing parties for the Bravo show every Wednesday throughout this season. 10 Arts exec chef Eric Ripert is coming through tonight to show his girl a little love, so stop in starting at 7 p.m. if you want to catch a glimpse of the dreamy Frenchman in all his ominous structure-scaling glory. (Seriously, look at that dude! What is he even doing in that picture?) The viewing parties will be held in the lounge, which boasts multiple flat-screens.

Oh and don't forget that Jennifer Zavala, formerly of El Camino Real and now over at Xochitl, is also a cheftestant this season. Check out A.D. Amorosi's Nov. '08 profile for some background on girlie.

Check Meal Ticket tomorrow morning for a recap of the premiere, as well as a recap of the Top Chef Masters finale.

eric/jennifer:

congratulations on philly's best chef contestant!!! and thanks to eric for supporting NYC City Harvest...we'll be viewing tonite.

IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE KITCHEN?? My feeding program(fIRST FOUNDATION)will serve nutritious, quality late evening meals/snack, accompanied by intermittent medical care and prospectively clinical research studies geared to homeless services.

michael (mwfarrell, esquire Contact: mwfarrell@aol.com) provides probono legal assistance to my emerging nonprofit (First Foundation), slated to FEED/MEDICALLY ADDRESS Philadelphia's hungry, street side, this Fall 2009---we viewed your Ritz Carlton promo today.

Would you consider promoting our food/medical care program, which we anticipate will receive food donations via food harvester (Philabundance) hopefully next spring 2010?

Our evening program will supplement existing street programs, expanding their efforts by providing participants clinical research exposure, supplemental clothing/toiletries AND business opportunities for formerly homeless.

FIRST FOUNDATION HISTORY (DEBORAH KOSAK, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)

In 2008/2009, I personally transitionally housed 13 homeless individuals, sponsored participation in numerous recovery and work development/education programs. My first homeless advocacy outreach, "Carm", recently completed his 18 month shelter alcohol rehabiliation, successfully graduating Delaware County Community college programming. Functioning productively and joyously, Carm is leap years away from that challenged person I found/housed wandering about in Washington Square Park in the wee A.M. hours......

As a freelance medical reporter (former healthcare provider)providing scientific/medical association conference news coverage, I've often advocated for food program distribution of conference unused surplus food item contributions. an ongoing concern despite medical society philanthropic policies requesting this food donation.

First Foundation provides formerly homeless with employment (via DeeDeeOriginalHats), who then mentor/sponsor currently homeless into socioeconomic recovery.

Warm regards,

Deborah Kosak

Executive Director

First Foundation

Awww! Jen Zavala is the first to go home? Maybe that's why she left Camino Real so suddenly (there was going to be a viewing party for her at the Piazza tonight)?. She's so cute!!! I met her about a year ago, a few months before Camino Real opened - so sweet.

Looks like the 10Arts Jen is going to do well - hopefully some of her Top Chef dishes will appear on the 10Arts menu.

Having said all that, I was spoiled by Top Chef Masters...if the Top Chef people want to go all Masters all the time, I would not be upset.

Ugh, Ripert always looks way too smug to be attractive. Perhaps he comes off differently in person.

Deborah, great cause. Strange that you are posting this "letter" as a comment on MealTicket... almost spammy...

Actually, according to my chat with Owen Kamihira in last week's icepack (8/13)there wasn't ever truly a screening planned-PLANNED (considered, maybe,if but for a sec) because, Owen felt for awhile, that something wasn't right between them. Then she gave her notice at July's end/Aug's beginning and now Zavala is at Xochitl. Why would he have a party for someone he knew was leaving? That said, he'll be celebrating his Bar Ferdinand's third anniversary Aug 21 with a big dip into the sangria punch bowl at midnight. I hope I can get there.
