Where'd We Eat Burgers and Pickled Things?

Went out on Friday night for a burger (above, bottom left) that simply must be considered in this "best burger" thing that's gripped the city. Got it topped with goat cheese and artichokes. Tell me where.

For bonus points, since there was a substantial wait, where'd we pre-game?

Village Whiskey was the burger, and Franklin Mortgage was the pregame.

Good eyes all around.

Pregamed at Franklin Mortgage where I had a Hoff's Law (above, middle) and followed it with a Tommy's Sazerac (above, left). The ladyfriend had the Southside (above, right). More info on the drinks here.

Over at Village Whiskey, started off with the pickled artichokes with whipped ricotta, black olive tapenade and sourdough bread (top group of photos, bottom left) and cheese puffs (not pictured). Entree'd up with a medium rare Village Burger that was bloody and awesome.

Had the Sazerac 6-year Rye and a Four Roses single barrel bourbon.

All VW menus available at their web site.
