Who dat dere behind the bar at Catahoula? Phoebe Esmon!

Drinking at Catahoula (775 S. Front) just got a whole lot better with the arrival of Phoebe Esmon, el presidente of the Pennsylvania chapter of the U.S. Bartenders' Guild and most recently, head swizzler at Chick's Cafe (614 S. Seventh St.). Esmon came to Cat' last month after we already reviewed, grrrr! and drops her new cocktail list on her thirsty subjects tomorrow. The menu is divided into three categories: Know your Classics (Pimm's Cup, Sazerac, etc.), the Modern Library (modern recipes from other industry folk) and Dear Diary (Esmon originals). Could we be more excited to sip on her Garden District, a Bourbon-based elixir flavored with maple and fig? No ma'am. See the entire list here.
