It's always easy to tell what's new in Wing Phat Plaza at 11th and Washington — just look for the cleanest awning. The grime-free sign above beckoned us to My Tho, on the same side of the plaza as Pho 75, this weekend. Like 75, My Tho is a multi-location chain (they've got four restaurants in Texas), but instead of the classic beef/noodle/beef broth combo, they specialize in soups thickened with hu tieu (clear glass noodles) and mi kho (egg noodles), plus crawfish, offered after 2 p.m. daily. Yes, crawfish — the little suckers are not widely eaten in Vietnam, but for whatever reason quite a few Viet restaurateurs stateside have taken to serving mudbugs, capitalizing on Southeast Asian eaters' propensity for getting hands-on at the dinner table. (Here's an interesting NYT piece about it.) My Tho's full menu is after the jump (click to enlarge); hours are Mon.-Thu., 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Fri.-Sun., 9 a.m. to midnight.

Here we've got a PDF of the opening menu for Serafina (130 S. 18th St.), the glossy New York City brand opening its first Philly location in Rittenhouse tomorrow night. Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato's restaurant, which we toured you through last week, starts with some pretty straightforward app and salad selections, moving into a huge pasta section (gluten-free and whole-wheat options are available), then fish, veg and meat entrée options — and finally pizza. That's the portion we're most amped for. Yes, there is a Philly cheesesteak pizza; elsewhere on the pie front, though, you've got choices like the Porcini (with a bunch of imported-from-Italy mushrooms), their signature Bianca (arugula, parm, fontina, mozzarella) and Al Caviale (boiled sliced potatoes, caviar and creme fraiche).

Chef Clark Gilbert should having Gemelli on Main, the Manayunk-based rebirth of his Narberth BYOB, open by the latter part of this month. Taking over the real estate at 4161 Main Street vacated by Moon Krapugthong's MangoMoon, Gemelli on Main will be much bigger than its original Narberth digs (the space is bilevel) and will have a liquor license. Gilbert plans on serving dinner seven nights a week (Mon.-Thu., 5-10 p.m.; Fri.-Sat., 5-11 p.m.; Sun., 5-9 p.m.), with lunch from 11 to 3 on Saturday and Sunday. Check out Gemelli's opening menu — Italian, with some Provencal influences — after the jump (click to enlarge).

Chef John Taus over at The Corner (102 S. 13th St.) has just overhauled his dinner menu for the summer, adding some seafood options — salt cod hush puppies, popcorn-crusted shrimp and this seafood hot dog we keep hearing about — plus a bunch more entrée options, from a summer veggie stew and housemade tagliatelle to a new diner-style "Royale" cheeseburger (check out the big brain on Braaaad!) to accompany the signature Corner burger. Bunch of new sides and plats du jour, as well. Peep game in full after the jump (click to enlarge).

Two weeks ago, we told you that David Katz's mom, Suzanne, would be cooking a Moroccan-Jewish family feast at Katz’s restaurant Mémé (2201 Spruce St.) on Wed., June 15. Quick recap: $45 a head, communal seating, BYO or $5 Moroccan wines. If you haven’t booked a table yet, we’ve got the full menu after the jump to entice. The Katzes had us at potato pastels.

Luis Marin and Joel Solomon, who own El Sarape locations in three Philly suburbs, have just debuted Xilantro (103 N. Wayne Ave.) in Wayne, right across from Teresa's Next Door. The modern Mexi has a huge tequila selection — more than 100 varieties behind the bar, plus plenty of cocktails — and a menu from chef Juan Pablo Quiroz, who's cooking lunch and dinner daily, plus brunch on Sundays. Full dinner menu after the jump (click to enlarge).

Revolution House (200 Market St.), the long-in-the-works overhaul of Snow White Diner from Panorama owner Luca Sena and partner John Poulos, has soft-opened on the corner of Second and Market. The two-story restaurant, which we first mentioned in March of last year, won't have its liquor license until this coming Tuesday, after which point they'll serve breakfast, lunch and dinner daily from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. For now, they're pouring complimentary wine and serving up food from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. For now, check out chef Luca Sena Jr.'s abbreviated opening dinner menu; they promise an expanded version, along with the full-on breakfast and lunch menus, early next week. (The pic above is of the upstairs bar/dining area, which leads out onto the open-air patio overlooking the intersection. More pics soon.

This Sunday, March 29 marks the official launch of brunch at Headhouse Square's Xochitl (408 S. Second St.). Come through between 11 and 2 to peep chef Lucio Palazzo's Mexicano brunch dishes — classic huevos rancheros; cornmeal/black bean hotckaes with piloncillo syrup, seasonal fruit and whipped cream; fluke ceviche on tostadas with pico de gallo; or housemade granola topped with honey, chile/lime fruit salad and yogurt. Booze too of course: You can enjoy a Michelada, a trusty marg or Xochitl's Bloody Maria (blanco tequila, housemade bloody mix, chili-salt rim). Full food/drink menu after the jump.

Though it was shooting to debut last weekend, Al Zaytouna (901 Christian St.) officially opened for business this morning. An Eastern Mediterranean restaurant in the former Mew Gallery space, Al Zaytouna ("the olive") is the handiwork of longtime Philly restaurant vet Koubeil Benayed, a native of Tunisia. His menu (in full after the jump, click to enlarge) comprises staples like falafel, shawarma kofta, hummus and baba ghannouj. Specialties of the house are good for meat lovers (chicken/lamb/kofta kebabs; charcoal-grilled lamb chops), and there are some seafood options in play too (catch of the day, or the Al Zaytouna combo, which features grilled salmon along with several kebabs). Benayed is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week, and says he hopes to introduce brunch service in the coming months.

Wedge + Fig (150 N. Third St.), which we told you about almost exactly one month back, soft-opened this morning just off the corner of of Third and Race. A takeover/makeover of Old City Cheese Shop, W+F is owned by husband and wife Kirk Nelson and Lisa Ruff, amd former Flying Monkey bakestress Rebecca Torpie is running the kitchen and curating the cheese case. They'll be at full strength come June 4 (First Friday), offering cheese boards designed to be paired with BYO wines and beers plus weekend brunch, but for now they're running primarily as a queso shop/food boutique and light-fare lunch stop (see sandwiches and salads after the jump; click to enlarge). The adorable back yard area remains; Nelson says he's working on a custom canvas cover system for the space (he and Ruff used to live on a boat!) that'll allow people to chill out there even on soggy days like this. Come the 4th, Wedge + Fig wil be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
