Looks like a pretty serious delivery was made a few days back, a massive Renato ARS 700 pizza oven for Marc Verti's upcoming pizzeria. Grub chatted with Vetri about his U.S. made oven choice. Looks like it's the same brand that Chris Bianco uses at his famed Pizzeria Bianco.

Good news for South Street last callers, The Insider is reporting that Lorenzo and Sons is planning on soft opening on April 29 and a grand opening on May 3. A fire shuttered this iconic pizzeria last summer but owner Guiseppe Pulizzi is putting the finishing touches on the renovated South Street storefront. Hours are remaining the same, 11 a.m. to 4 a.m.

There are just about two weeks left in St. Benjamin Brewing Co.'s crowdfunding initiative. The Kensington nanobrewery is in the process of opening a brewpub, and they need some help funding the restoration of their historic building on N. 5th St. What's in it for you ranges from a couple of pints and a free app to a private beer tasting for 10, the chance to name a brew or even a 50% discount for life.

Remember the good old days when David Katz was doing those magical Thursday fried chicken lunches at the late great Meme? Well, we've got some good news for ya! SPTR/ASB chef/Meal Ticket interviewer extraordinaire Scott Schroeder is telling us that Katz is bringing his legendary chicken back to American Sardine Bar (1800 Federal St.) on May 2nd for a pop-up lunch. Same as it ever was, $11 gets you two pieces of chicken, a biscuit and a High Life. Katz and Schroeder are still brainstorming the sides but get there early, the chicken starts frying at 11 a.m.

Meal Ticket got a sneak peek at Pennsylvania 6 (114 S. 12th St.) and it's pretty swanky. The former Tweed spot has been totally renovated with lipstick red banquettes, a shiny marble bar and second story dining area complete with blown up photos of Frank Sinatra, Sophia Loren and James Dean.

The menu is coming from Marc Plessis, the French-born former chef of XIX and he's focusing on seafood, think raw bar with four varieties of oysters, a selection of crudos and plateaus. Larger plates are have more of a bistro lean with Duroc pork neck over cheddar grits with spring onion, smoked paprika, breakfast radishes and pork jus, and hangar steak with sunchoke and potato risotto, hen of the woods mushrooms and bone marrow crust.

Sounds pretty cool, right? Well it gets even better. Plessis' roasted bone marrow app (served with garlic herb crust and bone marrow jam) comes with an optional Woodford Reserve luge upgrade because who doesn't want to drink bourbon out of a bone? We're so there.

Doors open to the public this up coming Thursday.

Looks like there's some local talent on the upcoming season of The Next Food Network Star premiering on June 2. Our own Carly Szkaradnik found out that Ambler native Chad Rosenthal is going to be in the running. Rosenthal, the former owner of the now shuttered Rosey's BBQ is in the process of opening a new spot in Ambler. Who knows if Rosenthal wins we might just have our own version of Guy's American Kitchen & Bar on our hands. If you're into NFNS action follow him on Twitter

If you read Notes from the Weekend (and really, why wouldn't you?) you know we spent some time at Fork (306 Market St.) last weekend, where we were struck by, among other things, both the quietly terrific wine list and the capacity of the staff to talk about it. Among the restaurant's cellar is a 2009 pinot noir from Ravines, a winery in the Finger Lakes best known for their Rieslings. Interested? You'll want to make reservations for April 29th, when Ravines owners Morten and Lisa Hallgren will be in town to host a five-course wine dinner at Fork. Cost is $150 a head. No menu yet, but considering Eli Kulp is cooking it, we're pretty confident in saying it will be delicious.

Editor's Note: Hello and welcome to Ask Meal Ticket, a new column were we try our best to answer all of life's greatest food and drink related queries. Got a question? Send it our way and our team of experts will get to the bottom of it.

Dear Meal Ticket, any weird new water ice flavors out there?

It's Pronounced Wooder

Well, Wooder, if you head over to the Rita's site you'll come across a few water ice flavors that will blow your mind with weirdness like peanut butter and jelly, Island Fusion (does that taste like coconut shrimp?) and banana (not sure why but it sounds weird). But if you're looking for more exotic frozen dessert options head over to the Italian Market in search of the Mexican ice pops known as paletas in flavors like chili-mngo, tangy tamarind, hibiscus and sweet corn. Trust us, they're awesome. Of course if you can hold out until the May opening of Morgan's Pier we've heard that pastry chef Robert Toland is working on some pretty serious water ices.

Tonight the Ben Puchowitz and Shawn Darragh, the dudes behind Cheu Noodle Bar http://cheunoodlebar.com/ (255 S. 10th St.) are rolling out a new menu and the new additions are looking pretty dope i.e. BBQ pg tails with ramp kimchi and sesame, fish ribs with jicama, tamarind and herbs and beef tongue fried rice. Guess we know where we're eating tonight.

Have you ever had the pleasure of having a drink at the lovely Four Seasons (1 Logan Square)? No? Well, tonight is the night! This evening is the launch of the second round of Beer Four All Seasons, a collaboration between West Philly's Dock Street Brewing and the hotel. The spring kick off beer is Oats Pomegranate Yum a.k.a. O.P. Yum, a tart, rosy session brewed with oats and pomegranate (but no opium). The launch party is happening in the lounge, beers are going to be $5 and there will be plenty of snack specials courtesy of the kitchen of The Fountain restaurant. If you like what you're eating and drinking tonight, head back in June for the launch of the Beer Week brew made with ingredients from the Four Season's rooftop garden.
