Sooooo glad we just came across this, a new Comcast OnDemand children's program entitled "LET'S EAT!" It appears to involve Kurt Hunte, one of the dudes from Plastic Little, and pro wrestler Hydra from the Philly-based league Chikara cooking kid-friendly recipes in a Pee Wee's Playhouse-esque kitchen. ("The only thing more fun than eating a cheeseburger and then eating a pizza ... is eating a CHEESEBURGER PIZZA!") If that's not incredible enough for you as a standalone reason to watch, about 1:35 in, Spank Rock and Amanda Blank materialize and rap kid-friendly raps about eating, with edible -costume background dancer support from the Vaudevillains Mummers troupe, reprising their Philly Phood Phantasia roles from New Year's Day 2010. Life is weird and glorious.

Tomorrow, April 19, at 7 p.m., head to the Farmers' Cabinet (1113 Walnut St.) for the Philly debut of Evil Twin Brewery out of Denmark. (It's only the second bar in the States to carry the Copenhagen-based operation's stuff.) Founder/brewer Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergso will be in the building tasting drinkers on five of his unusual beers. He'll pour "Before, During, & After Xmas," an Imperial IPA, a vanilla imperial stout and an 10.5 ABV IPA/Chardonnay blend ("Disco Beer"), but we're most interested in his "Yin" (imperial stout) and "Yang" (imperial IPA), both of which were brewed specifically to be combined into a Black & Tan. They'll do both flights and individual pours, and chef Peter Felton is putting together an optional beer dinner menu, as well.

Pulled a drive-by on Yogorino (20th/Locust) Friday night to cop our usual krispy rice/pistachio sauce situation and were delighted to discover that the Italian yogurt shop now sells its stuff by the pint — if you can make it all the way back without scraping the container clean, you can enjoy super-tangy probiotic-laden goodness in the comfort of your own home. The pints cost $8.50 a pop, and you can get various toppings and sauces to go along with, too.

The guys at Time (1315 Sansom St.) have already tried to kill us once, with the chicken-fried foie gras on their dinner menu. Now they're bringing a near-identical level of glorious disregard for our longevity to Sunday brunch with The Beast, aka THE WORLD'S DEADLIEST BREAKFAST SANDWICH.

- Easily one of the most disturbing confections one of the most disturbing things I have ever seen: the marzipan baby. Yes of course, use one as a cake topper for a baby shower or something. Naturally, a yawning baby is appropriate. But, they have hair. I can't deal. These look like real infants.

- Now we've got the option of making wine more portable than ever. If you don't care about pairing and just want your vino on the go, Flasq wines are packaged in eco-friendly recycled aluminum and provide two full glasses.

- Humans just go mad about bacon, and now, humans can smell like it. A chic eau de toilette dubbed Bacon (obvs, but pronouced "bay-cohn," you know, to sound tres Parisienne) has been released by Fargginay, who seems to only make who seems only to make bacon cologne. From the essential oils of bacon. OK …

- While Cool Ranch is always appreciated, why aren't we so lucky to experience international Dorito varieties like yuzu, sesame chicken, seaweed, peking duck or gourmet sausage? Now That's Nifty exposes 102 such options. This is feeling a little like when we shared those endless Kit Kat flavors enjoyed in Japan. Envy.

- I don't know about you, but I'm tired of the traditional pizza cutter. The old rolling metal wheel. It's also something that just gets lost in the kitchen. These pizza scissors (with built-in spatula!) seem like a much more convenient and civilized option.

- A very rare eating disorder called Pica causes sufferers to desire certain non-nutritive, inedible foods like plastic, batteries and soap. It occurs mostly with children and pregnant women. A woman out there was profiled this week by The Daily Mail regarding her uncontrollable 21-year-old addiction to foam sofa stuffing.

Chef Brian Ricci (above) of Kennett (848 S. Second St.) has sent over a few teases off his spring menu — many dishes have already been introduced at the Queen Village restaurant, but everything should be available by May 1. NEED to eat that nettle/chanterelle/scamorza pie and those herb/yogurt chicken thighs!

- It took years for Café 943 to open its doors, but now it finally has, it's getting the Adam Erace treatment. Our critic leaves impressed by chef/owner Pascual Cancelliere's Argentine/Italian cooking style, especially his skill with the meaty bits.

- Legendary chef Jonathan Waxman, who's coming to Philly in a few weeks to cook at Osteria, has released a killer new cookbook — Italian, My Way.

- Feeding Frenzy has details on three brand-spankin'-new spots: Talula's Garden, OCF Coffee House and the West Philly location of Sweetgreen.

- Laurel Rose Purdy rounds up the best food/drink events of the week in What's Cooking — read for details on next week's Flying Fish beer dinner at The corner, a PIFA-curated guest chef appearance at Bistrot La Minette, an educational cheese workshop during the Philadelphia Science Festival and more.

- Outside the food section, in news: Holly Otterbein tells the story of the ubiquitous John Banks — "The Name for Stress-Free Grocery Delivery Since 1991" — and the controversy long-term he and other Italian Market fixtures are stirring up amidst Ninth Street's efforts to rebrand itself.

Here's some more info on the Thai restaurant coming to the corner of 15th and South that we first mentioned on April 6. The chef behind Sawatdee (that's Thai for "Hey! How are ya?") is Tony Inchote, a vet of Susanna Foo, Twenty Manning and Dmitri's. He'll cook a traditional menu —  your curries, your noodle dishes, your veggie options — at the BYO, which will begin the renovation process toward the end of April. Inchote will offer takeout and delivery in addition to sit-down serving (there will be outdoor tables). Proposed hours are Mon.-Thu., 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Fri.-Sat., 4-11 p.m.; Sun., 4-10 p.m.
