Brunch is coming to the Khyber Pass Pub (56 S. Second St.) in true New Orleans fashion. Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., brunchgoers can enjoy dishes such as shrimp, tasso ham and Anson Mills grits; boudin and two eggs any style; NOLA specialties like beignets and praline bacon (exactly what it sounds like); and Bananas Foster French toast with Leidenheimer's bread and brown sugar/cinnamon/dark rum sauce. They'll also be serving Community Coffee's dark roast with chicory in the form of café au lait. If you're into day drinking, the cocktail list features a Creole Bloody Mary, Bourbon Milk Punch, a New Orleans Golden Fizz and the very apropos, very boozy Vieux Carré. Full menu after the jump (click to enlarge).

Mike Stollenwerk is busy this week. He’s trying to get Fish, his stalwart seafooderie, open at its new home at 1234 Locust ("Either the week before or the week after Christmas") while inching toward closing its current 1708 Lombard location to begin work on Brick American Eatery. As a conscious citizen, he couldn't help but want to reach out to his new neighborhood — specifically his new corner. Thirty years ago today, Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner was killed outside the address where Fish will soon reside. In dedication to the memory of Faulkner, Fish and GM Jim Evans of the Independent Hotel (where the restaurant resides) will donate a police bicycle to the Sixth District during a ceremony at 4 this afternoon, mere days after D.A. Seth Williams decided against a death penalty hearing for Mumia Abu-Jamal, Faulkner's convicted killer.

John Taus has unveiled a brand-new menu at The Corner (102 S. 13th St.), featuring a revamped lineup of bar snacks (Asian-style fried turkey tails), new starter options (braised calamari with chickpeas, bell peppers and gremolata; a scrapple/foie gras combo), shareable-format dinners* (whole pork shoulder that feeds six to eight) and some new entrées (a lobsterfied version of Taus' well-loved pot pie). Peep in full after the jump (click to enlarge).

* UPDATE [2:25 p.m.]: Sorry we didn't have this info before — here's how the menu's "Shareable Entrees" option works. The indicated "per person" price includes a dish from the "Snacks" section, a dish from the "Starters" section, the entrée itself, a side dish and a dessert. So for example: Your table orders the pork shoulder entrée. For $40, you could get the salt cod hush puppies, the beet salad, the pork, a side to go with the pork and something sweet to finish.

Matthew "Feldie" Feldman and his wife Quavin Johnson Feldman launched the Lucky Old Souls Burger Truck in mid-October, easing into weekday vending at mobile-food-friendly LOVE Park. Now they're cooking outside Center City on the weekends. They'll be at Farm to City's year-round Chestnut Hill Growers' Market (Germantown Avenue and Winston Road) tomorrow, plus Dec. 17 and 31; the second and fourth Saturdays of the month for the winter; and every Saturday in the spring/summer. Also look for them at Clark Park on Sundays.

Since LOS starts serving at the Growers' Market early (10 a.m.-1 p.m.), the Feldmans have developed a new breakfast menu, featuring local free-range eggs, house-cured bacon and local cheese, in addition to their base menu. Peep it after the jump.

Peep overflow-capturing game: Hip-to-be-square Santucci's (901 S. 10th St.) is now serving brunch. So long, suckers waiting at Sabrina's — we’ll be down the street feasting on buttermilk pancakes with bananas, Nutella and hazelnut butter; hanger steak and eggs; and cinnamon brioche French toast with caramelized apples. Owner Alicia Santucci and chef Bobby Saritsoglu have kept it affordable, with nothing over $12. In the liquid department, the staff’ll squeeze you fresh O.J. ($3 a glass, not bad) and provide Bloody Mary mix if you bring the vodka. Brunch is served Sundays only, 9 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. Full menu after jump (click to enlarge).

Next time you pop into Ms. Tootsie's (1312 South St.), you might notice something a little different about the upcale soul food restaurant. Owner Keven Parker has decided to give his girl a makeover, starting with a slew of new dishes. Beginning this Friday, Dec. 2, diners will be able to dig into new menu items like herb-crusted grilled lamb chops with fried apples, bourbon-braised short ribs with sweet home fries and fried "soul rolls" filled with chicken, yams and cabbage. Space-wise, Parker's introduced three additional floors to the restaurant — while the ground level remains largely the same save for the addition of a "love lounge" catering to couples, head upstairs and you'll be greeted by a new R&B room (second floor), sky bar (third floor) and luxe lounge (fourth floor), all catering to a music- and nightlife-seeking crowd. That's not all, either — Parker's taken it upon himself to launch KDP Lifestyle and Luxury Suites (1310 South St.), a housewares store and boutique hotel, right next to the restaurant.

Last week, chef Jim Davidson added a whole lotta meatiness to the menu at Frankford Hall (1210 Frankford Ave.), with seven new burgers and a bunch of app options. Indulge in beef, turkey or lamb patties ranging from $7 to $12, as well as lighter options like the Atlantic "Lachs," a seared salmon burger with tartar sauce, arugula, pickled red onions and avocado. For small bites, go for escarole soup (Davidson's mom's recipe), chicken liver mousse or beet and goat cheese salad. To celebrate the new plates, the beer garden is also offering a half-liter draft for $3 when you order a burger or sausage dish through next Tuesday, Nov. 15. Peruse the complete menu after the jump (click to enlarge).

Gordon Dinerman's opening weekend at Birra (1700 E. Passyunk Ave.) was a success, so much so that he's rolling straight into Monday Night Football. His brand-new P'unk Ave. craft beer bar and pizzeria, which will typically be closed on Mondays, will open its doors at 5 p.m. tonights to welcome Eagles fans eager to see the Birds beat up on the Chicago Bears at the Linc (game time's 8:30). No specific food or drink specials for the matchup, but know that Birra's got four flat-screens, one of which is visible from every seat in the joint. Peep full food and drink menus here.

South Street's quirky hot dog shop, Hot Diggity! (630 South St.), has been open for just a few months, but co-owner Keith Garabedian isn't letting that stop him and his partners from expanding their nascent operation. Next week, we'll level our Official City Paper Review®, but couldn't wait till then to share this rad bit of news: Artist Hawk Krall, who writes about hot dogs for Serious Eats and did Hot Diggity's awesome illustrated menu (above), is getting his own gallery in the space next door.

Chef Chip Roman's Mica (8609 Germantown Ave), about which our Adam Erace found plenty to admire, is now serving Sunday brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Roman, always one to take a modern approach to American cuisine, is keeping it slightly more classic here, cooking renditions of French toast (brioche, caramelized apples, applewood-smoked bacon), buttermilk pancakes (with pumpkin butter and Chantilly cream) and steak and eggs (beef short rib, white grits, fried egg). Dishes range from $10 to $15, while sides (granola parfait, Yukon gold potato hash) run $3 to $6. Mica, which opened as a BYOB, now has its liquor license, meaning you have access to mimosas, housemade sangria and signature Bloodys, as well.
