Like bikes? Like farmers? Then fasten your helmets: Saturday, July 23, marks the sixth annual Urban Farm Bike Tour sponsored by Weaver’s Way Co-op. That morning, two rides will launch from (and end at) the Awbury Arboretum (1011 E. Washington Ln.) in East Mount Airy. The longer tour departs at 8:30 — be there before 8, sleepyheads — and rolls from Roxborough to Brewerytown to South Philly to Hunting Park and back, making eight stops at urban farms along the way. The shorter tour departs at 9:15, but arrives back at the Arboretum at the same time, 3 p.m., for a big-ass barbecue lubricated with lots of local beer. Want to participate? That’ll be $28 in advance, please ($25 for Co-op members), or $30 at the door. Which of course has us wondering: Can skip the exercise and just come straight to the barbecue?

On July 24, teams from Konstantinos Pitsillides' Kanella (1001 Spruce St.) and Marc Vetri's three Philly restaurants will square off in a fullscale, 11-on-11 soccer match in Fairmount to determine who's best at The Beautiful Game. Pitsillides, who actually played semi-pro ball both in his native Cyprus and in England, says he's pulling together a roster of his servers, cooks and dishwashers — "People that I know can kick the ball, hopefully" — to run up against Vetri's squad. They'll host a training session early next week. The chef, who promises more than a few slide-tackles, says he'll be playing a defensive-minded, Bill Russell-style player/manager role on his team. No official smacktalk from Vetri yet — he's a veteran of inter-restaurant athletic competitions, battling Jose Garces each year in a Thanksgiving-day football game — but we'll surely update when he chimes in.

Our Flyers have their hockey backs against the hockey wall (both technical terms) tonight, down 3 games to none to the Boston Bruins in the East Conference semis. Since Game 4 goes down in Boston, it seems like a good evening to wrangle up the crew and order in. SeamlessWeb, a delivery-and-takeout online hub/iPhone, Droid and BlackBerry app that works with some 250 restaurants in Philly, has tossed Meal Ticket a $50 gift card to give away to our readers.

Want the goods for tonight's game? Real easy: Between now at 4:30 p.m. today, leave a comment on this post describing which SeamlessWeb restaurant you'd order from, and why. Full list of Philly spots that accept SeamlessWeb here. We'll pick our favorite answer and inform the winner via email. Good luck, and go Flyers!

UPDATE [12:58 p.m.]: Just to clarify, you don't have to spend the $50 tonight. You can use it anytime.

UPDATE [4:37 p.m.]: Check out the winning comment, from Andy B, below.

I would order from Sang Kee, so that by the third period I'll be in a hoisin sauce coma with duck fat all over my face instead of watching the Flyers' third goalie of the night flailing around on the ice.

And now, a rare instance of Philly food meets exhibition sports news: Tomorrow at 11 a.m., two exquisitely nicknamed Harlem GlobetrottersBig Easy Lofton and Buckets Blakes — will be taking their to the streets to debut a brand-new 4-point shot as part of their "4 Times The Fun" Tour at — you guessed it — Famous 4th Street Deli (700 S. Fourth St.). As usual, they’re doin' it for the kids and bringing students from the nearby St. Peter’s School to cheer them on as they sink shots from 35 feet out (that's 12 feet beyond the NBA's 3-point line). So follow the whistled tune of "Sweet Georgia Brown" to Fourth and Bainbridge for a giant pastrami on rye and a big taste of Globetrotter glory.

The Lombardi Trophy looks really nice with a wing on top of it, doesn't it? Keep the theme rolling during Super Bowl XLV at Varga Bar (941 Spruce St.), which will host a chicken wing competition lovingly dubbed Super Fowl Sunday. If you think you've got a killer wing recipe, email rich@vargabar.com ASAP to register; all you need to do is show up to Varga with your fully prepared wangz at 5 p.m. (the bar will provide a chafing dish/Sterno setup to keep 'em hot). The first round of judging is up to the guests at the bar (pay $5 to be a taster). Then, during halftime of the big game, the top four vote-earners will be judged by a pro panel. The winner of THIS round will return to Varga on Sunday, Feb. 20 for a head-to-head competition against Varga chef Evan Turney. Beat him, and he'll cook you a full-on all-the-frills dinner for you and a guest. Good luck, wingnuts.

Cafe Spice, which went down in Old City this past summer, is reopening as Red Zone, an upscale sports bar, next Friday, Jan. 21. Owner by Tim Lu (he owns/operates a Red Zone location in Burlington, N.J.) and partners Kyle Piasecki and Ben Kemp (nightlife consultants who recently helped reopen The Legendary Dobbs), Red Zone will feature somewhere in the realm of 30 and 40 televisions, playing all the Philly teams and everything in between (we're guessing they'll have the NFL Red Zone network); they hope to become the official Old City bar of the Philadelphia Union when the new MLS season starts up this spring. The menu is still being finalized; they're going to start out with six beers on tap and between 20 and 30 in bottles, plus beer cocktails and shareable punch bowls. In other fun news: If you want to say hi to Kemp at the bar, better stop by before Feb. 1 — that's when he's leaving to film the upcoming Focus Rally, an Amazing Race-esque challenge that involves teams of two driving around the country and doing wacky activities. Badass!

Ben Kemp and Kyle Piasecki helped work on the reopening of The Legendary Dobbs and did a fantastic job. There is no doubt in my mind they will help Jason and RedZone be equally as fantastic

Hope they don't become another nuisance bar like Cafe Spice was.

Ben Wenk, Phillies fan
Three Springs Fruit Farm in Adams County has been doing Philly farmers markets for the past four years. Coincidentally, the Phillies have won the NL East for the past four years. "Coincidence?" asks farmer Ben Wenk. He thinks not. Wenk just released his fourth annual Phillies Apple Line-Up, that likens each player to a variety of apple he grows on the family farm. Some pairs shouldn't surprise you: Halladay as the Honeycrisp, the "perfect eating apple" for Doc's perfect game; Victorino as the Empire because "good things come in small packages;" and Ruiz (his ni-name ees Chooch, if you haven't heard) as the underrated Golden Delicious. Peep the whole line-up on the Wenk's blog and try to ignore the fact that Three Springs, which is located down near the Maryland border, also does an Orioles Apple Line-up. Word is they're all rotten.

We know everyone's amped for the Phillies' NLDS against the stupid Reds tonight, but you should get a little ahead of yourself and look to Game 2 this Friday. That night (and every night of a Phillies playoff game), the first 50 fans to show up at Devil's Den (1148 S 11th St.) and Old Eagle Tavern (3938 Terrace St., Manayunk) — both owned by Erin Wallace — will receive this sweet rally towel, perfect calibrated for maximum twirlage. Buck off all Yards beers during all games, as well.

McGillin's Olde Ale House (1310 Drury Lane) is celebrating our division-clinching Phillies they best way they know how — with booze. On the left is what they're calling the Phanatic Pheckin Bomb, a boilermaker-type operation consisting of a shot (1/4 shot Apple Pucker, 3/4 shot Feckin Irish Whiskey) and 3/4 of a pint of Original Sin Apple Cider. On the right is the bar's red and white Phillies-tini, a mix-up of raspberry vodka, triple sec and cranberry juice served up in a sugar-rimmed martini glass.
