Happy to see the expansion, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't going to miss the more intimate space and (for me at least) the more convenient location. Fear not, Salt + Pepper, even a long walk on a cold Philly night can't keep us apart! Good Luck!

UPDATE [03jan10]: Here's the full photo tour of The Dandelion's now-completed interior. Quasi-crashed a staff beer tasting at The Dandelion, Stephen Starr's English-minded pub at 18th and Sansom, and snagged a handful of pics of the still-very-much-under-construction interior.

Hey Dan, it was a beer tasting, with 30+ staffers taking small sips of close to 20 different beers, discussing them, etc. While I'll be the first to champion the proper glassware for the proper beers, I think the use of plastic cups for such a venture is understandable.
Hi Drew, thanks for the response. I did think about that. I imagine it may have been tough to rinse out real glasses? If anyone could afford it I would imagine Starr could. I do wonder how much plastic cups affect the taste of any beverage. I'm actually not a huge "proper" glass freak although at least aesthetically the proper glass is nice. But I DO get a plastic funk smell when I drink out of solos. I also wonder about a beer tasting which includes pretty readily available beers like this, but I imagine you have to educate staff somehow.
To me, this place has 9+ dollar beers written all over it. Don't get me wrong I bet the food will be good, the environment nice and the beer selection decent, but I can get all that and not get racked over the proverbial coals elsewhere. I hope I'm wrong b/c otherwise this looks like it could be a swell time. Oh, and I agree, who drinks Triple Karmeliet out of solos?
Solo cups, I have the same ones .....WHHOOOAAAAh
