Monday, Feb. 7 Check out the interior progress at Point Breeze's Wander Inn, soon to be known as American Sardine Bar. This week in Arterial Terrorism: Chef Matthew Hartnett's "Burgermeister Meisterburger" at Hop Angel Brauhaus. Zaffron is a new Mediterranean grill operation in the Shops at Liberty Place. Tuesday, Feb. 8 Peep the menus for the brand-new Opa, which just opa-ened at 13th/Sansom. Rapidly expanding healthy-grub chain Sweetgreen is working on a West Philly branch. Want a sneak peek of chef Todd Dae Kulper's upcoming Royal Sushi and Izakaya? Stop by Khyber Pass Pub on Feb. 21. Wednesday, Feb. 9 Spruce Street Espresso is opening a second location, a mere block away from their current digs. Manayunk's Old Eagle Tavern has rolled out a brand-new menu. Restaurant Remix: Check out our home cook-friendly tribute to the amazing cassoulet at Bistrot La Minette. Thursday, Feb. 10 Coconut M&Ms get the Weekly Candy treatment from Erin Finnerty. Monday, Jan. 10 Chef Josh Lawler, formerly of Dan Barber's Blue Hill at Stone Barns, is opening his own restaurant on Pine Street. Adam Erace experiments with his Biodome-y Aerogarden and will keep us posted on its progress. SPACE HERBZ Tacos, home brew fig/choco stout, 'cue on cue, old-school caesars and more in Notes from the Weekend. Tuesday, Jan. 11 Maru Global Takoyaki and The Foodery are collaborating on an awesome-sounding beer dinner. Cantina Feliz, from Garces alum Tim Spinner, is now open in Fort Washington. Wednesday, Jan. 12 The 4500 block of Walnut is becoming a Little Lebanon, especially with the debut of Manakeesh Café. James responds to its exclusion from Philly Mag's Top 50 restaurants list with a little creative marketing. Freshii hits the Philly market running with free food aplenty to mark its debut. Monday, Dec. 13 South Philly beer bar Devil's Den lands a new chef, Paul Trowbridge. Shot Tower Coffee is a brand-new Stumptown brewer at Sixth/Christian. Center City's Moshi Moshi is becoming a new sushi concept called Numa. Lane cake and Percy Street and Eggs in Purgatory and Han Dynasty (and more) in Notes from the Weekend. Tuesday, Dec. 14 Barbuzzo is now offering take-home six-packs of their ridiculously popular chocolate caramel budino dessert. Thanks to everyone for voting for Meal Ticket in the Philebrity Awards! Spicy, spreadable salami, so good — peep the n'duja at Southwark. Wednesday, Dec. 15 Former Meal Ticket intern Marie D. has a new NJ-focused food blog, Chew Jersey. (Nice name!) Speaking of pretty and new spaces: Kennett is looking good in Queen Village. Adsum chef Matt Levin was not joking about his plans to host Four Loko dinner. Lots of lovely reader sharing, plus mentions of Celebre's, Kanella, N. 3rd and more, in Notes from the Weekend. Tuesday, Dec. 7 Freshii, a new healthy-eating concept, opens soon in Center City. Time introduces chicken-fried foie gras. We bow to you, Time. Yamaki Sushi sets up shop in Rittenhouse. Cookie Confidential is hawking cheesesteak cookies, bacon peanut brittle and more off South.
