ElectionEar: Where's Rep. Kenyatta's endorsement?

Although the Inquirer, Daily News, and other media outlets have reported that Mayor Nutter is "expected" to endorse state Rep. Kenyatta Johnson for the 2nd City Council District, currently represented by Anna Verna, the mayor has so far expressed support for no candidate in that race — though he did endorse Councilwoman Maria Quinones-Sanchez on Monday.

Nutter's campaign spokeswoman, Sheila Simmons, says she doesn't know whether (or whom) Nutter might endorse in that race.

To make things a little more confusing (maybe), the campaign of Barbara Capozzi, a realtor who is opposing Johnson, recently made hoopla of her appearing alongside the mayor in a press conference about legislation, passed in Council and signed by the mayor, that protects park land from development (Capozzi sits on the Parks & Recreation Commission).

The ElectionEar is a good listener; send tips here.
