With more than 2,000 votes since our ElectionEar Ultimate Primary Poll went live late last week, the results are shaping up to be interesting indeed — and, surprisingly or not, a little different that conventional wisdom about this election and who's going to win it.

What do the results represent? Who knows — maybe this is the CP readers' ticket; maybe it's a younger, online demographic; maybe it's the candidates' friends.

In any case, a few highlights from the poll so far:

The Democratic At-Large race has drawn more than 1,000 votes, with Andy Toy taking a decisive lead from the start:

Andy Toy: 22% 

Sherrie Cohen: 14%

Blondell Reynolds Brown: 11%

Bill Green: 10%

James Kenney: 10%

William Greenlee: 9%

Isaiah Thomas 5.6%

 

The Republican At-Large race has drawn 534 votes. The winners so far:

Stephen Odabashian: 29%

David Oh: 20%

Dennis O'Brien: 10%

Malcolm Lazin: 9%

Al Taubenberger: 8%

Joseph McColgan: 7%

Elmer Money: 6.33%

Frank Rizzo: 5%

Michael Untermeyer: 4%

 

The 1st Council District race has drawn proportionately the most votes of all, with just over 400 votes cast, and the vote closely split between the four candidates:

Vern Anastasio: 29%

Mark Squilla: 25%

Joseph Grace:  24%

Jeff Hornstein: 22%

 

2nd Council District (159 votes)

Barbara Capozzi: 49%

Kenyatta Johnson: 34%

Tracey Gordon: 16%

 

7th Council District (244 votes)

Dan Savage: 72%

Maria Quinones-Sanchez: 28%

 

8th Council District (159 votes)

Howard Treatman: 39%

Cindy Bass: 23%

Verna Tyner: 18%

Greg Paulmier: 14%

 

City Commissioner (D) (390 votes)

Stephanie Singer: 49%

Blair Talmadge: 14%

Ivy Staten: 11%

Marge Tartaglione: 10%

Anthony Clark: 7.6%

Michael Bell: 5%

 

City Commissioner (R)

Al Schmidt: 71%

Marie Delany: 16%

Joseph Duda: 12%

 

Sheriff (D)

John Kromer: 54%

Jewell Williams: 32%

Jaqcue Whambush: 8%
