Philadelphia Tea Party to protest against city's "sanctuary policies"

| Philly Tea Partiers protest health care reform in March. They've since moved on to attacking immigration reform. |
Except, Mayor Nutter has made it perfectly clear that Philadelphia is not a sanctuary city. And as of last week, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was still luring in local cabbies with the promise of getting their owed credit-card payments, only to put their names on a deportation list. Also, now that the agreement between ICE and the city over its Preliminary Arraignment Reporting System ends Aug. 31 — not last week, like originally thought — nothing is set in stone, and Nutter has said that his intent is simply to protect "information about victims and witnesses of crimes."
But no matter, the Philadelphia Tea Party is protesting this "sanctuary city." An e-mail this morning from the group says:
Local and state immigration reform activists along with representatives of area-building trades unions, and tea party groups, will hold a press conference  July 8th [at 11 a.m., at the National Constitution Center] charging that politically motivated sanctuary policies that shield illegal aliens with arrest records from immigration officials makes them complicit in jeopardizing the public safety of all residents, citizens and visitors to this city.
Â…
Peter Gadiel, 911 Families for a Secure America remarks, "Mayor Nutter's decision to conceal illegal alien criminals from federal immigration authorities WILL result in the deaths of innocent Americans. We who have been the victims of crimes committed by illegal aliens have paid the price for such policies implemented by other politicians who are more interested in the votes of illegals and their supporters than in the safety of American citizens."

For Days I have heard Dom Giordano from 1210 refer to Philadelphia aa a Sanctuary City,,,, I have listened to Dom long enough to know that his need to be relevant to any and every story in Philadelphia makes most of what he says,,, shall we say "less than accurate".
