The Alexander Inn offers rooms for a measly $1

Turns out there's a good side to this recession after all — really cheap shit. The latest company that's trying to lure in customers is the Alexander Inn (301 S. 12th St.), a charming little hotel in Washington Square West. In a move that's reminiscent of Bolt Bus, the hotel is giving away rooms for $1 — one dollar! — through June 11. In the Inky, innkeeper John Cochie said the response has "just been amazing." No shit.
