What We Heart: Art in the Age's spring tees

When it's above 65 degrees, I usually don't advocate for wearing anything but sundresses. However, the new spring line of Art in the Age T-shirts has made me switch teams, albeit until the next time I see a perfect flowy frock at Target. My favorite piece ($34), pictured above, is inspired by an 1890s-era poster for Macmillan’s Illustrated Standard Novels. They Photoshopped the title out, though, and changed the dimensions of the peacock to mimic the flow of the female body. Almost all of the new tees have similarly cool backgrounds, which allow you to tell a story like the ones people tell about their tattoos, but without the lifelong committment. Another favorite is the Women's Blue Tapes tee, which mocks Art in the Age's old Red Plastic Cups piece. I like it because it implies that you'd have blue tape lying around haphazardly for the same reason that you'd have old beer cups lying around —  1) you're lazy and don't clean often and 2) you're a nerd for either beer or making things with tape. Or, if you're a crafty alcoholic, for both.
