There’s nothing subtle about Never Too Spoiled, the latest addition to Old City’s bevy of eclectic boutiques. And, boy, how eclectic it is. The busy but inspiring layout of the place — with all its dazzling jewelry and wispy frocks — comes courtesy of shop designer Cari Shappell (pictured, right), who, according to owner Lolly Galvin, “has done such a great job making this a store you want to spend a lot of time in. I wanted it to be a shop where you just keep finding things to look at,” she says. “That’s why there’s stuff everywhere — pillows and wall hangings with sayings that you stop to read.” The two have nailed it. This isn’t some sterile, minimalist little shopping pit stop: This is a landing point. And, as Galvin points out, it’s accessible: “I didn’t want any of the jewelry in a case. I want people to be able to touch it,” she says. The inclusive feel — plus all the femme colors, textures and sparkles within — makes Never Too Spoiled a refreshing addition to the hood. 108 N.
