Feel Like Makin' Love We love you and its only the third date. Well, those other two previous dates (the April and October 1996 issues) were kind of a get-to-know-ya thing, if you remember, when EarSHOT was just an insert in City Paper. Now we're on our own. You've picked us up at a coffee shop, a record store, a college campus or a clothing store. This is getting serious. So to kick off what we hope is a long-term relationship, and to honor that pesky celebration on Feb. 14, we give you, "The Love Issue." What better way to kick off the celebration than with Philly's own Don Juan DeMarco - G.Love. (Watch how he tries to seduce me over wheat gluten - try oysters, pal!) In other stories, local boys Latimer tell us why being a rocker doesn't equal a hot love life; New York songstress Lori Carson talks about her sexual prime; and regular Philly folks like Leroy Breedlove and Dr. John Valentine cite their favorite albums for getting in the mood. On the style tip, Neil Gladstone shares his boot fetish; Delicious Corsets get all tied up and Jennifer Darr shows us how easy it is to turn on a man (with a light bulb). And, of course, where would love be without food: Brian Howard and Pete Brown lick their plates clan at Mil-Lee's Luv-Inn Diner and Mr. Gladstone examines the subtle nuances of the penis bagel. Here's wishing you a spicy V-Day. - Margit Detweiler, Editor |
