If you remember those whiskery whiffs of Dad's Old Spice, Bay Rum or Brut, the cologne called Slacks will bring back fond memories. A mixture of spicy and citrusy notes, Slacks' sharp scent is OK for a man or a woman (yes, it smells a bit like CK One) and as the packaging reads, Slacks is "as rugged as corduroy, classic as tweed... anytime, anywhere, behind the ear, under the arms, and, of course, between the legs." The glass bottle itself is half the allure. Tall and square with a black screw top, it's graphically designed with a pipe-smokin' '50s icon of Dad and packaged in a round metal case. The cologne is designed by the vintage-influenced, Minneapolis-based Charles S. Anderson Design Co., whose forte is nifty retro-meets-postmodern packaging. They're the folks who design Fossil Watches and Cloud Nine chocolate. A big 2-ounce bottle of Slacks is available for $60 through the CSA archives catalogue which also offers watches, mouse pads, a tin of toys and their own stock art.
