Acknowledging an interesting wine phenomenon, David Katz of Mémé is hosting a wine dinner highlighting French varietals grown in Italian soil. Importer Federico Dall'Olmo of the Artisan's Cellar will be on hand to discuss the particulars of each vino — four in total, each of which will be paired with a savory course from Katz (grilled lamb chops with kale, quail with polenta, pasta with guanciale and scallop crudo). A Week of Earth Day at Davio's

Earth Day has passed, but Davio's is offering a special menu for the remainder of this week. The springy four-courser features branzino with white asparagus, trumpet mushrooms and mussel jus; heirloom tomato salad with grilled spring onions and baby basil; and a special "dirt" dessert. Most of the fruits and vegetables in the meal were grown sustainably at Blue Moon Acres, located right here on Earth in Buckingham, Pa. Reservations required. Second Annual Cupcake Smash

At P.Y.T. and Philabundance's second annual Cupcake Smash. professional and amateur bakers will create their best cupcakes, to be judged by CP's own Drew Lazor, P.Y.T. owner Tommy Up, Phrequency.com's Leah Kauffman, Tony Luke Jr. and Wendy Rollins of Radio 104.5.
