Mark those calendars, folks, next Wednesday, November 27th The Lodge at Waterfront Winterfest (101 S. Columbus Blvd.) is open for business. The Waterfront what? Oh, well, if you haven't heard yet it's a big old wintertime entertainment complex (made of recycled shipping containers) complete with awesome entertainment like an Olympic-sized skating rink and holiday light show from Klip Collective, holiday shopping via Art Star Craft Bazaar food and drinks courtesy of none other than George Sabatino and Scott Schroeder.
Self-proclaimed sandwich artist Schroeder will be handling the grab-and-go section of the menu during the day and Sabatino is going to be manning the stoves at The Lodge after 5 p.m. on weekdays and at noon on weekends. If you've been following Sabatino's Winterfest progress on Instagram you've probably already seen a few sneak peeks of the menu including smoked turkey legs, mashed potato fritters, sweet potato and kale pocket pies and white chocolate and cookie crumble fudge. All sorts of warm, boozy drinks will be on offer - think mulled apple cider, hot cocoa and spiked chai.
Did we mention that James Murphy is DJ opening night? Yeah, we're pretty stoked.
