After releasing their sprawling, two-disc Valtari last May, Icelandic post-rockers Sigur Rós commissioned a dozen filmmakers to create videos corresponding to tracks from the new album. Participating creatives included John Cameron Mitchell, Andrea Arnold and Alma Har’el, in whose interpretation of “Fjögur Píanó” a weeping Shia LaBeouf infamously drops trou. This weekend, the official Valtari short films will be shown on all seven continents (“Yes, including Antarctica,” the website affirms) alongside selected fan-created submissions. PhilaMOCA’s two-hour screening promises idyllic landscapes, ethereal vocals and at least one celebrity penis.
Sun., Dec. 9, 7:30 p.m., $8, PhilaMOCA, 531 N. 12th St., 267-519-9651, philamoca.org.
