After offering bass-pumping music lessons to low-income students for over a year, Rock to the Future is now bringing the same hardcore energy to their upcoming fundraiser. The nonprofit's Race and Rock Scavenger Hunt sends groups across the city (on bikes or by foot) to find clues and hunt for objects. If raising money for music education isn't enough incentive to speed through city streets, the group is also dangling Sixers box seats, Cranberries and Thrice tickets, and other prizes as bait. True to form, the search ends with a family-friendly after-party at Kung Fu Necktie with a local lineup that includes psych rockers Cheers Elephant and breezy indie quintet Conversations with Enemies.

Sat., April 14, 11 a.m., $10-$40, St. Michael's Church, 2139 E. Cumberland St., 610-416-6742, rocktothefuturephilly.org.
